Bureaux Modern Mercantile was born out of the idea of returning to the “good old days” of the brick + mortar general store ~ where you could find quality goods and essentials and always be greeted with a smile and friendly service. Today, it’s our intention to provide modern products that are both classically and thoughtfully designed, as well as to seek out unique and beautiful objects that can be enjoyed for years to come.
Inspired equally by the traditional charm and modern design of many current day European mercantiles and cafés, our products are sourced both locally and globally and include kitchenware, home decor, ceramics, gourmet food provisions, men’s and women's apparel and accessories, books and stationery, as well as a great selection of children’s products. We challenge ourselves to know the background of our products, the stories behind our makers and the names of the regular visitors that support our vision.
